The Founder
Richard W. Burdett
On August 21, 2014, Richard W. Burdett proudly became an Ordained Non-Denominational Minister through the Universal Life Church Ministries (ULCM). Shortly thereafter, he founded Passions of Life, LLC — driven by a calling to help those in need throughout local communities, the nation, and the world. Based in New Jersey, the organization reaches out globally whenever financial support and resources allow.
Richard's vision was straightforward: that outreach and guidance — not charity alone — could create lasting change for the homeless, children, the elderly, and the LGBTQ+ community. He believed in walking alongside people, not just offering a hand from a distance.
Over a decade later, that founding mission remains the heart of everything Passions of Life, LLC does.

About Our Structure
Passions of Life, LLC is a for-profit limited liability company — not a non-profit organization and not registered as a 501(c)(3) under the Internal Revenue Service.
We are transparent about this because it matters to the people who support us. Any financial contributions made to Passions of Life, LLC are not tax deductible.
Funding is received through support for our outreach work and through the sale of mission-related products. All funds are directed toward our organizational mission — including supplies, business services, and fair compensation for non-volunteer staff. No funds are used for personal profit.
It is the long-term goal and aspiration of Passions of Life, LLC to one day transition into a fully registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, allowing contributions to become tax deductible and opening the door to broader funding opportunities in support of our mission.
